A method of manufacturing grain with the message to display on the surface by carving characters and patterns on the surface of grain using laser light is provided to beautify the appearance of grain while expressing the desired message. Grain with the message to display is obtained by the steps of: removing the skin comprising the uppermost layer; applying laser light to the ovule's surface of grain; removing a bran layer(10) comprising the ovule's surface of grain. In a carving step, the color of the bran layer comprising pericarp, testa and the aleurone layer is carved to form a display part(50). |
