A lead member, a method for joining the lead member, and a nonaqueous electrolyte electric energy storage device containing the lead member are provided to prevent the increase of resistance at a joining point and to prevent the formation of a local battery at the joining part of a cathode lead and an anode lead. A lead member(10) comprises a first member(11) which is electrically connected with an electrode; and a second member(12) which is joined at the position far apart from the electrode of the first member and is made of a material different from that of the first member, wherein the lead member comprises further a duplication place(13) with the first member and the second member. The duplication place has a plurality of concave pressure welding marks(14) formed by cold rolling welding, and a deformation mark is formed at the each pressure welding mark by the sintering process in the thickness direction of the duplication place.
