SPACER TAPE FOR SEMICONDUCTOR MOUNTED CIRCUIT TAPES AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A spacer tape for a semiconductor mounted circuit tape is provided to prevent the damage of a conductive circuit formed on a circuit tape by using a wave shape tape fixed in a longitudinal direction. A spacer tape(1) is made of a plastic base tape(2) and at least two plastic wave shape tapes(3). A wave height direction of the wave shape tape is directed to a perpendicular direction of a surface of the base tape and a wave traveling direction thereof is directed to a longitudinal direction. A sum width of the wave shape tape is less than one-third of a longest width of the base tape. A thickness of the base tape is 25 to 500 mum. A longest width of the base tape is 10 to 350 mm. A height of a wave shape on the wave shape tape is 0.5 to 3.0 mm. A thickness of the wave shape tape is 25 to 500 mum. The wave shape tape is fixed onto the base tape by a heat welding or ultrasonic welding.
