摘要 A method for controlling regenerative braking of an electric vehicle is provided to improve braking by gradually reducing regenerative braking torque without setting the regenerative braking torque as 0 during ABS(Anti-lock Brake System) operation from a start of the ABS operation. A method for controlling regenerative braking of an electric vehicle includes the steps of: performing the regenerative braking of the electric vehicle; detecting a slip amount of a front wheel during the regenerative braking; reducing regenerative braking torque by a regenerative braking controller if the slip amount of the front wheel is increased before a start of ABS(Anti-lock Brake System) operation; starting the ABS operation and continuously reducing the regenerative braking torque by the regenerative braking controller until the electric vehicle is stopped if the slip amount of the front wheel is larger than a reference value; and recovering energy and generating power by a motor at the same time through the gradually reduced regenerative braking torque in the ABS operation from before the start of the ABS operation.
