<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card reader capable of shortening the time of reading processing of reading necessary information from an IC card even when the position of data to be read is indefinite. <P>SOLUTION: This IC card reader capable of reading a file recorded in the recording part of the IC card by communication with a main control part preliminarily registers a repeated reading execution command in conformation to a registration number. When information in which the position of the data to be read is indefinite is read from the IC card, the card reader receives an interpreter execution command with the registration number and designation information to be retrieved from the main control part, retrieves a data object having the designation information in the file of the IC card by use of the registered repeated reading execution command, and returns the data object to the main control part as an interpreter execution response. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
