PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate moire generation accompanying electrical magnification in a dot area. SOLUTION: The dot area in a document is discriminated (S11). The density and density uniformity in the decided dot area are detected (S12, S13). When the detected density uniformity in the dot area meets specific conditions (YES at S13), image data are created according to he density in the dot area (S14). Input image data, on the other hand, are varied in magnification. The generated image are overwritten to an image area of the magnification-varied input image data which corresponds to the dot area. |
