<p>A dynamic ciphering apparatus in a mobile communication system, and a method thereof are provided to improve security by ciphering data to be transmitted based on a generated dynamic ciphering key. A dynamic ciphering apparatus in a mobile communication system includes a ciphering device(200), a demodulating device(250), and an authentication center(290). The ciphering device receives and stores a security code table. When a ciphering of data to be transmitted is requested, the ciphering device generates a dynamic ciphering key in response to the security code table and a frame number of the data to be transmitted, and transmits a frame having data which is ciphered based on the generated dynamic ciphering key. If the frame is received, the demodulating device generates a dynamic ciphering key in response to a security code table of a stored subscriber and the frame number of the frame, and demodulates the ciphered data included in the received frame based on the dynamic ciphering key. The authentication center manages an authentication key of the subscriber, generates and manages the security code table of the subscriber.</p> |
