A plasma display panel is provided to improve address jitter characteristics by implementing a protecting layer having silicon materials on a front substrate including first and second electrodes. A plasma display panel includes front and rear substrates(101,111), and a barrier rib(112). The front substrate includes first and second electrodes(102,103) formed in parallel with each other. The rear substrate, which includes a third electrode cross the first and second electrodes, is disposed opposite to the front substrate. The barrier rib defines discharge cells between the front and rear substrates. At least one of the first and second electrodes is formed into one layer. A dielectric(104) and a protecting layer(105) having silicon materials are sequentially formed on the front substrate including the first and second electrodes.
