The machine (100) has a rotor (120) movable relative to a stator (110). The stator or the rotor has a coils arrangement that includes two phases and/or phase coils (40a-40c), which are arranged in U-shaped left and right iron yokes (60) having bevels (61). The yokes have two legs (60a) and a back (60b), which is chamfered and/or beveled at the bevels. The yokes are arranged opposite to the stator and/or the rotor by an outer side (62) of the leg. A yoke opening is adjusted in a rotation direction (A). An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a transversal flux machine.
