A method of controlling a digital broadcasting signal is provided to reduce the number of tables to be monitored, to improve performance of CPU by adding DCCT and DCCSCT being two important tables with respect to channel change, to MGT, and to allow viewers to use DCC service of a broadcasting station. A method of controlling a digital broadcasting signal comprises steps of multiplexing version information of EIT(Event Information Table) by a multiplexer(30) regarding video data, audio data, and program guide information, version information of a DCCT(Directed Channel Change Table) informing channels to be changed, a PID(Packet ID) of the DCCT, and a MGT(Master Guide Table) capable of including version information of the EIT or the PID of the EIT, and receiving a transmitted broadcasting signal at a receiving part(70); monitoring a version of the DCCT through the version information of the DCCT included in the MGT in the received broadcasting signal; and providing a DCC service to a user using new DCCT when the version of the DCCT changes. The version information of the DCCT is the version number thereof. The broadcasting signal is transmitted through VSB(Vestigial Side Band) transmission technique.
