摘要 A positioning device, an electronic device, and a recording medium storing software program are provided to reduce a process time by reading signals from an empty memory region, while a signal is written on a ring buffer memory. A mobile telephone(1) includes a GPS(Global Positioning System) antenna(10), a GPS receiver(20), a host CPU(Central Processing Unit)(110), a manipulation unit(120), a display unit(130), a portable wireless communication unit(140), a ROM(Read Only Memory)(150), and a RAM(Random Access Memory)(160). The GPS antenna receives RF(Radio Frequency) signals including GPS satellite signals from a GPS satellite. The GPS antenna outputs the received RF signal to the GPS receiver. The positioning apparatus includes a ring buffer memory and a positioning processor. The memory includes a memory region, which stores at least three cycles of a signal corresponding to an inversion time interval of a navigation message. The memory sequentially shifts and stores the signal, which is received from an RF reception circuit. The positioning processor varies a signal reading position from the memory region, detects and tracks a GPS satellite signal, and performs a positioning process.
