A urethane guide roller for a lift and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent rust between the guide roller and a guide bar without supply of an additional lubricant, thereby extending lifespan of the guide roller. A urethane guide roller(10) for a lift includes a coupling shaft(11), a hollow shaft(13), a bearing(14), a cover(17), a first roller(18), first and second snap rings(15,16), and a second roller(19). The coupling shaft is fixed to a frame of the lift. The hollow shaft has a through hole(13a) at a center to be inserted into the coupling shaft. The bearing is coupled around the hollow shaft. The cover is coupled on the coupling shaft to prevent the bearing from being separated from the coupling shaft. The first roller is made of steel and has first and second snap ring grooves(18a,18b) on an inner peripheral surface fitted to an outer peripheral surface of the bearing. The first and second snap rings are fitted to the first and second snap ring grooves to support the first roller on the bearing. The second roller is made of urethane, installed around the first roller, and in contact with a guide bar of a tower crane to ascend along the guide bar.
