The invention relates to a suspension strut mount pertaining to a motor vehicle body and consisting of an aluminium cast component. The aim of the invention is to create a motor vehicle body comprising a suspension strut mount which is as compact as possible and highly advantageous in terms of weight compared to a steel construction. According to the invention, a suspension strut mount (4) of a motor vehicle body is a cast component consisting of a light metal. The suspension strut mount (4) is connected to at least one other supporting component (1, 3) of the motor vehicle body, consisting of a ferrous material. The use of a light metal such as an aluminium or magnesium alloy for the suspension strut mount (4) enables a considerable weight gain to be achieved compared to a suspension strut mount consisting of a ferrous material.
