<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair growth inhibitor inhibiting growth or development of the hair and highly safe, and to provide a composition for external use, such as a medicament, a quasi drag, and a cosmetic. <P>SOLUTION: This hair growth inhibitor contains at least one kind of galenical selected from Phellodendron amrense, rice bran, Morus bombycis, Coptis japonica, Thymus serpyllum, Prunus persica, Pyrola japonica, Calendula officinalis, Rosa canica, Melissa officinalis, and their extracts as an active ingredient.
