Device for transferring thermal energy

The system for the transfer of thermal energy from a first flow medium to a second, or vice versa, has a first (10) and a second (11) heat exchanger, and a compression type refrigerating machine (12). In the first heat exchanger thermal energy is exchanged between the first flow medium and refrigerant of the refrigerating machine, and in the second heat exchanger thermal energy is exchanged between the refrigerant and second flow medium so that in consequence one the two flow mediums is cooled and the other heated.
