A DMB receiver having a function for changing a service frequency is provided to search for a service frequency automatically or manually when a service frequency band area is changed during movement and change into the frequency band in a currently positioned area, thereby changing into broadcasting or a channel provided to the currently positioned area automatically or manually. An antenna(5) receives a digital multimedia broadcasting signal. A tuner(20) selects a specific frequency band for a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) signal inputted from the antenna and filters and receives the specific frequency band. A decoding unit(12) extracts video data and an audio signal included in the selected frequency and decodes and outputs the video data and the audio signal according to a predetermined format. An audio processing unit(13) converts the audio signal decoded by the decoding unit into an analog audio signal and outputs the converted audio signal. A video processing/graphic processing unit(40) converts the video data decoded by the decoding unit into an analog signal and outputs the converted video data. A display unit displays the video signal outputted from the video processing/graphic processing unit on a screen. A receive signal detection unit detects the size of the DMB signal received from the antenna in real time and outputs service disapproval data by a current frequency band. A main control unit controls the entire components so as to provide DMB to a user through the display unit, receives the service disapproval data outputted from the receive signal detection unit, searches for a service frequency stored in a storage unit(70), and changes the selected frequency band of the tuner.
