A plurality of driving heads each driving an endless belt conveyer loaded on its lower run are mounted on a common support and each driving head comprises at least two driving drums having their axes in the same horizontal plane, a driving motor for the drums, and deflector means for removing the material from the lower run of the respective conveyer. As shown two driving heads are pivotally connected together at d and are mounted on a common base plate f by bolts engaging curved slots in the plate so that each head can be angularly adjusted. Each motor a drives the respective driving drums b, b<SP>1</SP> through a gear box comprising a fixed portion h and a pivoted portion j on which the motor a is mounted, so that the position of the motor may be adjusted. Material is deflected by oblique scrapers k into shoots n. Skids may replace the wheels g shown. The height of each upper run is adjusted by vertical adjustment of a plate carrying idlers m, m<SP>1</SP>. |
