Interpreting Seismic Data Using a Digitizing Display Tablet

A method for interpreting seismic data includes displaying seismic data on a graphic digitizing tablet (22). At least one data point is entered into a seismic data interpretation program by contacting a write end of a digitizing stylus (20) to the digitizing tablet at a user-selected position within the displayed seismic data. A plurality of data points may be entered by maintaining contact between the write end of the stylus and the tablet and moving the stylus. Data points may be deleted by contacting an erase end of the stylus to the tablet. A line width or display colour of data may be adjusted by adjusting the contact pressure of the stylus on the tablet.
