<p>Extraction of polyphenol from Cranberry juice (Vaccinium macrocarpon), comprise eliminating inert substances contained in the juice by diluting concentrated juice in water; fixing polyphenolic substances on a polymer adsorbing materials; rinsing resin column with water; terminating the rinsing; eluting the polyphenols fixed on the resin column with aqueous ethanol; collecting the eluate subjected to the vacuum evaporation by adding water regularly to obtain a concentrated juice; evaporating aqueous phase and obtaining the polyphenol. Extraction of polyphenol from Cranberry juice (Vaccinium macrocarpon), comprise eliminating inert substances contained in the juice by diluting concentrated juice in water; fixing polyphenolic substances on a polymer adsorbing material such as styrene/benzene divinyl; rinsing resin column with water; terminating the rinsing of the column when the rate of dry matter in the rinsing liquid having a very low value; eluting the polyphenols fixed on the resin column with aqueous ethanol; collecting the ethanol eluate subjected to the vacuum evaporation by adding water regularly in course of evaporation to obtain a concentrated juice, so that at the end of alcohol evaporation, proanthocyanidin left in pure aqueous medium; evaporating the aqueous phase by high vacuum distillation and finally obtaining the polyphenol concentrate in a powder form containing at least 10% of proanthocyanidin. An independent claim is included for a fine purple to black colored powder containing at least 10% of the proanthocyanidin obtained each time in the process.</p> |
