A method for forming a mother of pearl pattern is provided to express a desirable pattern on a mother of pearl plate without cutting and sticking mother of pearl pieces according to the pattern. A method for forming a mother of pearl pattern includes the steps of: preparing a pattern printed layer(20) and a background printed layer(22) by printing a desirable pattern and background separately by colors on rear side of a mother of pearl plate(10); preparing a front side printed layer(30) by printing a single color on the front side of the mother of pearl plate in a location corresponding to the pattern and the border of background; and forming a transparent paint(40) layer by applying urethane or epoxy on top of the front side printed layer. |
