An oriental hair restorer is provided to promote hair growth, inhibit hair loss, restore the hair by increasing blood flow, inhibiting reactive oxygen species and removing oversecreted lipid peroxide, and inhibit side effects or toxicity. A composition for promoting the growth of hair comprises 20-200 parts by weight of black bean, 20-200 parts by weight of tangerine, 20-200 parts by weight of potato, 20-200 parts by weight of pine needle and 100 parts by weight of silica, and further comprises 50-250 parts by weight of onion, 30-200 parts by weight of gingko nut, 30-200 parts by weight Schizandra chinensis BAILL., 50-250 part by weight of Lycium chinense MILL., 30-200 parts by weight of Pleurotus ostreatus and 20-200 parts by weight of barely corn. Further, the composition additionally comprises a taro, Rubus coreanus Miquel, jade powder, Korean mountain ginseng and loess.
