994,305. Valve oscillating circuits, LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS - G.m.b.H. Feb. 20, 1962 [Feb. 20, 1961], No. 6578/62. Heading H3F. A high frequency generator comprises a triode valve R and a resonator K with distributed constants, strip conductors B traversing the resonator and having one end connected to its outer conductor via capacitors CK and the other end connected to the cathode of the valve, to control the grid to cathode voltage by the voltage developed in the resonator owing to the high frequency current flowing through it and through the anode to grid capacity of the valve. The outer conductor of a second cavity resonator T is connected via decoupling capacitors Ca to the outer conductor of the first resonator, and its inner conductor is connected to the anode of the valve. One end of the first resonator is connected to the grid of the valve and is terminated by a shunting capacitor Cr; the latter prevents the generation of unwanted higher frequencies and is of circular type. The resonator K is made a quarter wavelength long, its effective length being adjusted by means of a short-circuiting slider S, while the cathode of the valve is connected to supply transformer U via chokes D. |
