The device has an electrical interrupter i.e. push button, implanted at the level of a headrest (4) of a turning backrest (3) of a motorized seat (1) for provoking withdrawal of the seat when the interrupter is activated. A sensor e.g. pressure probe, delivers a signal representing the presence of an occupant in the seat to prevent forward activation or withdrawal activation of the seat when the occupant is seated in the seat.
