A menu edit method and a display device applied with the same are provided to enable a user to select a desired menu item through a small number of key operations by editing a current menu according to user's selection and displaying the edited menu, thereby improving access efficiency of the menu item and enabling the user to conveniently use the display device. A menu edit method comprises the following steps of: adding at least one menu item, selected by a user among menu items configuring the whole menu, to a selection menu for at least one mode and configuring the selection menu, configured with the selected menu items, according to a mode of a display device(S430,S435); and displaying a selection menu corresponding to a current mode of the display device(S440).
