A lid for a container used to store liquid, beverage, detergent, and so on is provided to improve the touch when twisted around the container, and to enhance openability of the lid. A container lid(1) comprises a disc shape top wall(5), and a roughly cylindrical shape skirt wall extended from the top wall in a vertical direction. The bottom of the skirt wall forms a weak line(7) extended in a circumference direction. Above the weak line, a main portion(8) is formed, and a TE portion(10) is formed below the weak line. The weak line is constituted of slits formed at regular intervals, and bridges between the slits. The main portion includes a main wall and a plurality of projections(17) protruded in an outer radius direction from the main wall. The projection consists of a large projection part(18a) and lower projection parts(19a-19c).
