An apparatus for ensuring the rear visual field of a vehicle is provided to prevent an accident by photographing objects in the rear of the vehicle using a camera. An apparatus for ensuring the rear visual field of a vehicle comprises an inside rear view mirror, an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display,10b) for the rear visual field of a vehicle, and manipulation switches. The inside rear view mirror is connected with the LCD through a connection member having a support shaft. A step motor is installed at one end portion of the support shaft. The support shaft is supported by a stay provided with a windshield glass. Camera devices are installed in the rear of the vehicle. A controller receives predetermined signals from the manipulation switches and the camera devices to control the step motor.
