<p>An image forming apparatus and an image forming method are provided to correct damage of the image caused from the distance between non-uniform scan planes and to remove a distorted specific section of the input image by correcting the brightness of the image and increasing the pixel value of the image having a value less than the background value. An image forming apparatus(200) comprises a scanning part(210), a memory part(220), an image processing part(230) and a printing part(240), the image processing part consists of a profile generating part(232), a profile analyzing part(234) and an image correction part(236). The profile generating part generates the profile using a margin section pixel value of the image. The profile analyzing part determines the background value of the image by analyzing the profile. The image correction part corrects the brightness of the image to increase the pixel value of the image having a value less than the background value.</p> |
