A navigation service device using a mobile terminal and a method thereof are provided to transmit location information received from a satellite measurement device to a navigation service server and receive road guidance information from the navigation service server. A camera unit(310) provides area information obtained by capturing the topography and a natural feature of an actual road such as a visual field of a driver. A GPS signal receiving unit(320) receives radio waves indicating the latitude, the longitude and the altitude from a plurality of artificial satellites. A controller(350) controls to transmit the area information captured by the camera unit and the radio signals received from the GPS signal receiving unit. The controller receives road guidance information from a server and controls to output it in an audible manner. An RF(Radio Frequency) unit(340) transmits image information and a GPS signal provided from the controller to a navigation service sever, and provides the controller with the road guidance information by receiving the guide information from the navigation service sever.
