A particle matter sensor is provided to employ a particle detecting filter having a smoke storage capacity smaller than a small storage capacity of a DPF(Diesel Particle Filter) and a differential pressure measuring unit that measures the differential pressure between an inlet and an outlet of the particle matter sensor. A particle matter sensor includes a particle detecting filter and a differential pressure measuring unit. The particle matter sensor includes a flow meter(24), a neutron rem meter, a temperature measuring unit(T1), a heater, and a container. At least one of the particle detecting filter, the differential pressure measuring unit, the temperature measuring unit, the flow meter, and the neutron rem meter are received in the container.
