An apparatus for cleaning a bar screen in a water inlet is provided to reduce the number of workers required for cleaning the bar screen and to protect the workers from accidents by spraying water through a water spray device. An apparatus for cleaning a bar screen in a water inlet comprises a frame(110) having various elements for removing attachments from the bar screen. A movable device(120) is installed at the bottom surface of the frame to move along the bar screen. Rotation cleansing devices(130,140) are supported by the frame and pass through a space between lanes of the bar screen by rotating about a rotating shaft as driving motors(160,170) operate. A water spray device is supported by the frame to spray water toward the bar screen through a nozzle.
