An apparatus for fixing an elastic member of a slide type opening and closing device for a portable terminal is provided to join an end portion of the elastic member to a plate easily and facilitate a reworking operation, thereby improving the assembling performance of the apparatus. An apparatus for fixing an elastic member comprises a first plate fixed to a main body, a second plate fixed to a sub body, and an elastic member for sliding the second plate on the first plate through pressurization. A cylinder-shaped bearing(120) is joined to an end portion of the elastic member. A rivet(130) has a hook(132), wherein the hook is joined to the bearing while passing through the first plate or the second plate such that the bearing is rotatable in the center of the bearing.
