A method for manufacturing a double side type flexible printed circuit board is provided to reduce a manufacturing cost of a mold by manufacturing two conventional sets of molds with one set of mold. A method for manufacturing a double side type flexible printed circuit board includes the steps of: forming top/bottom plane circuits which are electrically coupled with both planes of a base film by processing an original material adhered to top/bottom both planes of the base film; and manufacturing top/bottom cover films to cover a part of the top/bottom plane circuits; covering a part of the top/bottom plane circuits arranged on top/bottom planes of the base film. The circuit forming step includes the steps of: forming a penetration hole on a predetermined position for a copper clad of both planes of the base film to be coupled to each other(S71a); plating the copper clad of both planes of the base film through the penetration hole with a conducting material(S71b); printing a circuit by illuminating a light on a film which is put on the copper clad of the both planes of the base film(S71c); and forming a circuit pattern by etching the printed copper clad(S71d).
