摘要 A battery management system and a driving method thereof are provided to detect a voltage of a cell of a battery by acquiring an effective gain according to a temperature change of a voltage detecting unit and using the acquired effective gain. A battery management system includes a sensing unit(10) and an MCU(Motor Control Unit)(20). The battery management system further includes a plurality of cells(cell1 - 40) and a plurality of cell relays(111_1 - 111_40) connected to the cells. The sensing unit receives a reference voltage when the cell relays are turned off. The sensing unit includes a voltage detecting unit(116). The voltage detecting unit generates a second voltage by amplifying a first voltage corresponding to the reference voltage according to a gain. The sensing unit measures the temperature of the voltage detecting unit. The MCU acquires an effective gain in correspondence with a ratio of the second voltage to the reference voltage when the temperature of the voltage detecting unit is included in a threshold temperature range.
