METHOD FOR ESTIMATING RELATIONSHIP BINDING EXCITATION AND INHIBITION PROCESSES IN THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM

FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves showing circle on video monitor screen. The circle has mark and point object circularly moving at preset speed. Testee fixes point object position relative to the mark by pressing button "Fixation" without stopping circular point object movement. Point object and mark positions difference as delay or advance error time. The mentioned procedure is repeated given number of times. Then, mean delay error value is calculated as positive sign deviations sum divided by their number and mean advance error calculated as negative sign deviations sum divided by their number. Relationship binding excitation and inhibition processes in the central nervous system is estimated by comparing the calculated mean values. ^ EFFECT: high reliability of estimates. ^ 2 dwg, 3 tbl
