FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for changing compression ratio in piston engines. According to invention, piston engine, including at least two cylinders, is furnished with device making it possible to displace cylinder part of each cylinder relative to engine crankcase separately. Cylinder parts are displaced relative to crankcase by sliding sidewise along plane tilted relative to horizontal surface. Displacement of cylinder parts is provided by shifting means made either in form of hydraulic cylinder, or in form of eccentrically installed rolls. Removable spacer providing setting of preliminary individual displacement of cylinder parts is installed between cylinder part and said shifting means. Eddy-current sensors are used to check compression ratio in engine. ^ EFFECT: possibility of optimization of operation of engine cylinders separately. ^ 6 cl, 8 dwg
