The method involves recycling of exhaust gases. A partial flow is taken from an exhaust gas flow of the internal-combustion engine. The partial gas flow is cooled in an exhaust gas cooler and re-conducted for the pollutant reduction of the internal-combustion engine, operated with fuel oil. The recycling of exhaust gases of the cooled partial flow takes place directly in cylinders of the internal-combustion engine. An independent claim is also included for an internal-combustion engine, particularly turbo-loaded with fuel oil operated diesel internal-combustion engine. |
