A stand type air conditioner is provided to allow an external appearance line of an air conditioner body and an external appearance line around a front panel to be corresponded to each other so as to enhance the appearance of the air conditioner by preciously assembling the front panel with a counterpart of the air conditioner body. A stand type air conditioner comprises an air conditioner body(110) and a front panel(130) assembled to the mounting portion(120) of the air conditioner body to cover the body. The mounting portion of the air conditioner and a front panel include a boss portion(140) formed at jointing section of top and bottom ends thereof. The boss portion consists of protrusion pieces(142) protruded from the top and bottom ends of the mounting portion of the air conditioner body, respectively, and insert grooves(144) formed on the top and bottom ends of the front panel when the front panel is fitted to the mounting portion of the air conditioner body. |
