摘要 #CMT# #/CMT# The end cap has a curved rod (3) comprising an end (31) connected to an end (11) of a gearbox control cable (1) by a tube (2) in which the end (11) of the cable is locked. The rod has an end (32) comprising a part (8) that cooperates with a ball joint (9) connected to a gear selection mechanism (10) e.g. floor-mounted gearshift lever, in a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle. The tube slides axially in a guiding sleeve (4) with a part (5) that cooperates with a ball joint (6) with an element (7) integrated with a gearbox in an engine block. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for architecture for cable control of a gearbox of a motor vehicle and in which an end of a control cable has an end cap. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# End cap for a cable that controls a gearbox of a motor vehicle and for being placed between an end of the cable and a ball joint of a gearbox control module in an engine block or a gear selection mechanism in a passenger compartment of the vehicle. Can also be used for connecting the cable to a gear selection mechanism`s ball joint and to the joint of the control module. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The curved shape of the rod provides a free space before the gear selection mechanism, thus avoiding any intrusion to the gear control and hence allowing installation of the end cap in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
