The mechanical unit has a reducer mechanism located at an output of the motor and formed by an endless screw (19) and a toothed sector (16). A movement transforming mechanism is formed by a connecting rod (5) and semi cranks. The transmission mechanism transforms a rotational movement, from the motor, in an output of the reducer mechanism to a translational movement applied to the mobile element. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Mechanical device e.g. electric parking brake (claimed), for transforming rotational movement to a translational movement that is applied to a brake cable in a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The reducer mechanism offers mechanical efficiency of 60 percentages. The movement transforming mechanism offers mechanical efficiency of 90 percentages. The device transforms the rotational movement to the translational movement with high efficiency in the order of 50 percentages. The device improves comfort and safety. The device is robust, reliable and economic, and utilizes less power and inexpensive actuator.
