#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a mobile carriage (12) in translation along a guiding channel that extends for permitting the carriage to be displaced on a platform (4). A mobile or telescopic arm (14) is supported by the carriage and associated to a motor unit that is driven by a control unit (25). A machining unit has a machining tool adapted on the arm and driven by the control unit. The control unit allows a coordinated functioning of a rotational drive unit, the motor unit, and a machining assembly for machining of an external peripheral region and an inner region of a part to be machined e.g. rotor. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device for machining of a large diameter part such as rotor of hydroelectric turbine e.g. Francis or Kaplan turbine and reversible turbine utilized for electricity generation, in order to allow a guiding function and a sealing between the rotor and a stator of the turbine, and for being mounted on the rotor. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The control unit ensures machining of the inner and outer regions of the part to be machined e.g. rotor, in an easy manner without the need for dismounting the device. The control unit corrects or prevents parasitic movements generated at level of a tool and/or geometric rotational defects of the machining unit.
