#CMT# #/CMT# The device has an elongated cam (3) co-operating with opposed fixed and movable rollers (12, 14) that are mounted on respective axles (13, 15), where the axle (15) is movable. The roller (14) is elastically solicited in a direction of the roller (12) by a torsion spring (18) i.e. metallic wire spring. The axle (15) is directly carried by co-axial loops of the spring. The spring has ends (22) supported on a case (2), where the spring and its stiffness are arranged in a manner that the spring presses the roller (14) with an effort that is defined on the cam passing between the rollers. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device for locking a door e.g. lateral door, rear door and endgate, of a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The movable axle of the movable roller is directly carried by the co-axial loops of the spring, thus eliminating the need of lever in the device, and hence suppressing frictions and energy losses related to the presence of lever that carries the movable roller. The elimination of lever simplifies structure of the device. The configuration of the movable axle ensures maintenance of the axle for avoiding rotation and translation with respect to the spring, without requiring additional parts. The device permits the movable axle to be set in correct supporting position on the spring during maneuvering a door of a motor vehicle. The arrangement of the movable roller and the elasticity of the spring ensures correct assembling of defects of the device and releasing of light swiveling during operation of the device.
