#CMT# #/CMT# The seat has permanent magnet direct current motors (50, 52) to displace drive nuts (54, 56), respectively. Connection cables (70, 71) are fixed at respective ends to the nuts (54, 56), respectively. The cables are connected to pulleys (62, 64, 66, 68) that transmit forces exerted by the nuts on the cables, to a base, by a relative displacement between the cables and the base. The motors are activated simultaneously along a given direction of rotation for displacing the nuts towards the front, so that the nuts exert traction on cable portions (73A, 73C). #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Seat for being connected to a support i.e. floor pan, of a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The connection cables continue to transmit the forces from the nuts to crosspieces by using the pulleys, thus avoiding warping of the base of the seat. The utilization of the two motors further eliminates risk of warping of the base of the seat during displacement of the seat, while providing a simple structure to the seat. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a top view of a part of a motor vehicle seat. 40, 42 : Mobile sections 50, 52 : Motors 54, 56 : Drive nuts 62, 64, 66, 68 : Pulleys 70, 71 : Connection cables 73A, 73C : Cable portions. |
