MICRO-ORGANISM OR MICRO-PARTICLE REAL-TIME DETECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD

An apparatus and a method for detecting microorganisms or micro-particles in real time are provided to require no expensive complicated equipment for from collecting through sensing the microorganisms or micro-particles, sense the microorganisms in real time without changing an electric signal and need no device for additional supply of moisture. An apparatus for detecting microorganisms or micro-particles in real time comprises: a collecting module(100) including a condensation element portion(110) which forms droplets where the microorganisms or micro-particles in the air are attached through condensation of H2O particles in the air, and a collection channel portion(120) which gathers the droplets and generates droplet stream; and a detecting module(200) including a counting module which counts and detects the microorganisms or the micro-particles attached to the droplet stream. The apparatus further comprises a filter module(300) which filters the microorganisms or the micro-particles having a size of more than predetermined size in the air and guides them into the collection module and a sterilizing module(400) which sterilizes the counted and detected microorganisms or the micro-particles. A method for detecting the microorganisms or the micro-particles in real time comprises the steps of: (a) condensing the H2O particles in the air through the condensation element portion to from the microorganisms or micro-particles attached droplets and collecting the droplets through the collection channel portion to form and collect the droplet stream; and (b) allowing the droplet stream to be flown in through an inlet portion and counting and detecting the microorganisms or the micro-particles through a Coulter counter. Further, the filter module filter 0.5 to 10mum of the microorganism or micro-particles.
