A control box of a ceiling type air conditioner is provided to minimize a space for installing the control box by forming an assembly groove at one side of a drain plate and fixing the top and boom covers to the groove and then attaching the covers to a fixed support member. A control box(80) for a ceiling type air conditioner comprises a drain plate(70), and an assembly groove(72) recessed in the drain plate. The drain plate is installed on the bottom of an indoor heat exchanger(40) to discharge condensed water within the heat exchanger. The control box includes a control device, which is housed and recessed in the assembly groove, such that a space for assembling the control box efficiently minimize. The control box includes a lower cover(82) which is rested on the assembly groove of the drain plate and on which the control device is stacked, an upper cover(90) covering the top portion of the lower cover, and a fastening member for fixing the upper and lower covers to the drain plate. |
