A channel locking TV is provided to perform locking release setting mode conversion and re-locking setting mode conversion easily and quickly, thereby protecting minors from harmful adult programs to make the minors have a health and sound mind. A method for locking a channel on a TV(1) comprises the following steps of: pressing the channel locking button(4) of a remote controller; displaying a password input window; inputting a password and pressing the check button(3) of the remote controller; displaying three selection directives of watching admission channel input, channel switching, and channel addition on a dialog window; displaying a watching admission channel registration field with a directive if a user selects the watching admission channel input directive; registering a preferable channel in an order by using a check button; displaying a channel locking icon(2) in the right lower end of a TV screen if the channel locking button is repeatedly pressed and completing locking setting operation; and skipping the locked channel and switching into a different channel if the user uses the remote controller.
