A plasma display panel is provided to reduce the reflection rate on the panel by disposing the third black layer between the first or second electrode and a front substrate. A front substrate(101) has first electrodes(102) and second electrodes(103) which are arranged in parallel. The first black layer(106) is disposed between the front substrate and the first electrode, and the second black layer(107) is disposed between the front substrate and the second electrode. The third black layer(108) is disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and is parallel with the first and second electrodes. A rear substrate(111) is disposed opposite to the front substrate. Barrier ribs(112) are disposed between the front substrate and the rear substrate to define discharge cells. A width of the third black layer is 0.2 to 1.5 times of that of the first black layer or second black layer.
