<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcomputer that enhances the efficiency of a data transfer process for block data whose data length to be transferred is not predetermined. <P>SOLUTION: The microcomputer 10 includes: an execution control part 101 for decoding instructions; an ALU 704 for executing arithmetic processes based on the results of decoding instructions by the execution control part 101; a general-purpose register file 703; and a detection circuit 110 for detecting whether or not the data stored in the general-purpose register file 703 has a predetermined identification code (NULL character), according to the execution by the ALU 704 of a data transfer instruction between the general-purpose register 703 and a data memory 72. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
