PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear fuel pellet inspection device capable of reducing the number of sensors for inspecting fuel pellets, and having excellent maintainability of the inspection device and an excellent antiradiation property. SOLUTION: This nuclear fuel pellet inspection device is equipped with a conveyance means 101 for conveying the fuel pellets 100, an attitude control means 102 for changing the attitude of each fuel pellet 100 in the conveyance process of the fuel pellets 100, cameras 104 installed on the front and the rear of the attitude control means 102, an inspection means 106 for inspecting each fuel pellet 100 from images by the cameras 104, and an inspection result reliability evaluation means 107 for evaluating reliability of the inspection result by comparing a plurality of inspection results determined by the inspection means 106 from the images by the cameras 104. Hereby, the inspection device can perform two inspections, namely, size inspection and appearance inspection of each fuel pellet 100, from the images by the cameras 104. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
