PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal type CVT good in workability which can smoothly process a power roller in rolling guide with respect to a trunnion together with an outer ring by a low cost and simple structure while avoiding an offset of axle supporting the power roller. SOLUTION: This toroidal CVT is characterized in that in a trunnion 15, a pair of guide faces 120, 120 which face each other, and perpendicularly intersect with a rotational axis of power roller 11, furthermore, extend in a direction perpendicularly intersecting with a pivot 14 is arranged, and in that when a tangential force in a direction along the pivot 14 applies to the power roller 11, a periphery 110 of outer ring 28 can be contacted with these guide faces 120, 120.
