FIELD: preparing of fresh citrus fruits for storage to be further used in space feeding. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves washing inspected citrus fruits at predetermined mode parameters in sweet water; sequentially holding in solutions of potassium permanganate and citric acid, and suspension of preparation produced from biomass of Mortierella spinosa micromycet by predetermined process; coating stems and adjoining surface with medicinal glue; exposing citrus fruits to ultraviolet radiation; packaging each fruit in smoking paper and placing in polymer trays. ^ EFFECT: prolonged shelf life of fresh citrus fruits adapted for usage in space feeding. |
